Blogging Challenge Day 29: What Do People Misunderstand About You?
Sometimes people see me as selfish. They say I get what I want, and if I don't, I have a fit about it. But the difference is I'm not spoiled. I've always had to work for the things I want. I have high standards for myself as far as what I want to achieve and being a good person. I do get what I want, but I don't want much. I'm not materialistic. I'm not high maintenance. I'm not a brat. I don't have the most modern electronics. I don't have designer clothing (except for the few pieces I found at Goodwill!). But more than getting what I want, I care about doing things for others and making people happy. So some may mistake it for being selfish, but there is nothing wrong with wanting to reward yourself for you efforts, or wanting to do something your way because it's been about someone else's way for a long time.
