Blogging Challenge Day 26: What popular notion do you think the world has most wrong?

This is a pretty difficult question and there are many things I could write about. It's hard to not touch on a controversial subject. But then I remembered a video I watched. It was eye-opening. It discusses the notion that "America is the greatest country." Maybe the world doesn't have his notion, but we sure do. Don't get me wrong! I'm extremely patriotic. I have so much love for our troops. I love America and am proud to be an American. But sometimes we blindly think "America is the greatest country" without really thinking about it. It's what we're taught, sometimes without reason. We are asked the question "What is the greatest country?" and our reflex is to shout "America!" There is no doubt in my mind that America is great. But that does not mean we have to put ourselves above others.
