Blogging Challenge Day 17: I Wish I Was Great At...

One thing I always wish I had done was take piano lessons. My parent's didn't play and they didn't have the money for lessons. The piano is so graceful and elegant. It is a classic instrument that you can't help but love. I always wanted to be able to play an angry ballad when I was upset or compose a beautiful song. I also think that playing a musical instrument would have been beneficial for early child development. I turned out fine, but I always wonder if I could have been a genius. lol Playing the piano would also help with coordination. I can't even play Guitar Hero on the easy level, because I can't tell my right and left hand to do different things at the same time. Of course I can do things like tie my shoes and type, but I have been doing these for years.

What do you wish you were great at?

  2. I wish I could have taken piano lessons as a child too - I did take a piano class in college but it was just a beginner class and of course it didn't stick as well as if I had been learning as a child.. I wish I would have kept up on it - it felt good to play something, even a very simple song.

  3. I couldn't hold a note in song or on an instrument if my life depended on it! lol

  4. I feel the same way. That's why I swear I will let my kids try whatever they think they might be interested in, within limits :)

  5. My grandmother taught me to play the piano in 4th grade. I played the flute from 3rd grade up, but I love the piano. I haven't played in forever though (my grandmother died when I was 16), I'm not sure I'd even remember the keys.

  6. I've always wanted to play too... and really would LOVE for my boys to play. However, I have nowhere to put a piano. SOMEDAY!

  7. Golf. I have three boys (including my DH) and they all love golf, maybe it should just be a guy thing (meaning my boys time together without me). I keep trying but people literally have to duck and take cover when I am playing. I want something family to do and my husband doesn't do much outside of golf.

  8. Haha! Sounds like I am about as coordinated as you! Guitar Hero is rough for me, too...and I so wish I could play a guitar, lol! It's tough enought for me to type!
